Experiences at the University
The Center of Excellence in Fungal Research educated my excellent knowledge of mycology and plant pathology. During my Ph.D. study and assistant researcher at Center of Excellence in Fungal Research, Mae Fah Luang University, Chiang Rai, Thailand, I studied and worked on morphology, phylogenetic analyses of fungi from several host plants such as Tectona grandis (teak), mangrove, Nypa fruticans (Nipa palm), eucalyptus in Thailand and emphasis on plant pathogenic fungi which causing diseases on teak. I have earned an excellent understanding of fungal taxonomy, and phylogeny. Besides learning the mycological filed, The Center of Excellence in Fungal Research also set up the robust collaborations with experts and students by producing joint publications, joint projects, and student exchange. I have earned more knowledge from many experts and shared my openly expresses ideas with other colleagues.
Work experience and present expertise since leaving the University.
I work as a postdoctoral researcher in the Key Laboratory for Plant Diversity and Biogeography of East Asia (KLPB), Kunming Institute of Botany Chinese Academy of Science, Yunnan, China since December 2017 to recent. My current research focuses on fungal taxonomy, phylogeny, and application of beneficial fungi to enhance plant growth.
Alumni wisdom
Should be someone who is always seeking knowledge as knowledge is endless to learn. Be active and responsible, hard-working, able to handle many tasks at once. Be a problem solver and a good collaborator. It is hard to say what would you be. Be yourself and enjoy your Ph.D. life with happiness. The road always has an obstacle. Just dare to do, dare to be different. I am sure you can do it!
