Experiences at the University
The Center of Excellence in Fungal Research aims at providing enthusiast in mycology, the necessary training for fungal research and the opportunity to work with best researchers in the field. Students have the opportunity to learn the basics of mycology with the best researchers. This includes various molecular analysis and laboratory skills essential in fungal research. Pioneer in this center to work on the basal clades of fungi, consistent encouragement and help from colleagues has helped me immensely and pushed me to work harder. ‘Novel, innovative and thinking outside the box’ are commonly heard and advised to students. This motivates students to come up with good paper ideas which have significant impact on fungal research.
