Experiences at the University
The Center of Excellence in Fungal Research enhanced and strengthened my knowledge not only in mycology, but also plant pathology, molecular biology, genomics, functional genomics and many other disciplines. The opportunity that I was given to work and collaborate with the top caliber mycologists around the world helped me to advance my knowledge in fungal research. The center also offered me the opportunity to study at Beijing Academy of Agriculture and Forestry Sciences, China and helped me to widened my knowledge and strengthened my self as researcher as well as an individual. I am grateful to the center for the opportunities given to me and looking forward for the future challenges.
Work experience and present expertise since leaving the University.
I am currently working as a lecturer at the School of Science, Mae Fah Luang University., Thailand. And I am still working as a researcher at the Center of Excellence in Fungal Research. My current research focuses on Discomycetes and functional characterization of pathogenicity related genes in phytopathogenic fungi.
Alumni wisdom
The path to the PhD is certainly not easy. You always need to stay focussed in your work. Keep up to date with research in science not only your discipline. Love what you are doing and learn from every success and every failure you gain in this journey. That will help you to challenge yourself to become a better person. But do not forget to enjoy your life.
